A boy, a girl sex does not matter
But to be a mother is something else
The joy, the happiness a child can bring
Is something only a mother knows and feels
Seeing them crawl
Watching them take their first step
Feeling their first tooth come through
Standing at the school gates
As a tear rolls down a cheek
As they walk into school
Crying, laughing with them
When they are hurt or happy
Miserable or Unwell
Feeling their emotions
Watching them grow
Helping them with all their needs and wants
Giving them advice, if and when neede
But for a mother to watch
Their child learn new things
Make their own choices
But a mother's love is
Plain and simply
